Embedded Software Engineer building real-time hardware–software solutions.

I’m a final-year Electronics & Communication Engineering student at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, holding a cummulative CGPA of 9.12. My work spans both hardware and software domains including embedded systems software and firmware development, circuit designing & prototyping, web development and sensor interfacing.
I focus on building end-to-end solutions involving bare-metal programming, IoT pipelines, real-time data processing, and full-stack integration. I work across the stack: communication protocols, cloud synchronization, embedded firmware development, PCB prototyping, ADC calibration, backend systems and interactive web interfaces.
A two-node wireless water tank level monitor built on the RP2040 in bare-metal C- no framework, just registers, PIO, and a clock. The transmitter fires the AJ-SR04M ultrasonic sensor with a custom PIO state machine that captures the echo width, using a hardware-generated trigger pulse and timeout, then ships each reading over an E32 433 MHz LoRa module on UART with M0/M1/AUX mode control.
The two ends talk over a framed packet protocol I designed: a header, status byte, 16-bit distance, XOR checksum, and trailer, taken apart on the receiver by a byte-wise state-machine parser. The receiver's second core is brought up by hand through the RP2040's SIO FIFO handshake : Core 0 does nothing but parse incoming frames and pass measurements along, while Core 1 owns the ILI9341 level gauge and the buzzer alarm. A 64-bit timer-based link-loss watchdog flips the display to "TX OFFLINE" whenever no valid frame has arrived for 15 seconds making sure the transmitter is alive or not. I also designed and routed single-layer PCBs in Altium Designer for both nodes, and powered each one from a rechargeable Li-ion battery so the pair runs standalone and portable.
SD Card FAT32 File Explorer & Media Viewer for ILI9341 Display :
Built a bare-metal SD card storage stack and display pipeline on the RP2040 using register-level SPI programming, with no vendor SDK or HAL. Wrote the SD SPI-mode initialisation sequence (CMD0, CMD8, ACMD41, CMD58, CMD16) with response polling and timeout handling for SDHC cards, then read 512-byte blocks with CMD17. Parsed the MBR partition table and FAT32 BPB by hand and traversed the FAT cluster chain to walk directory entries, match 8.3 filenames, and reassemble multi-block files from the card.
On the display side, brought up the ILI9341 TFT with a full init table and configured MADCTL and RGB565 for correct orientation and colour order. The RP2040 has no JPEG decoder, so I designed a PC-side tool that pre-converts a JPEG into a headerless 240 x 320 RGB565 blob and streamed it straight to the panel through its address window. The next stage is replacing that workaround with a from-scratch JPEG decoder on the Pico itself — entropy decoding, dequantisation and IDCT — so the card can hold real .jpg files and the device decodes them on the fly.
Extended the path with a DMA-backed streaming engine: a double-buffered DMA channel driven by the SPI TX DREQ, ping-ponging buffers so each cluster read goes straight to the peripheral while the next is fetched. On top of that sits a UI — a card-info screen, a scrollable file browser using push buttons reading the directory tree live, and an image viewer with a render progress bar.
Wall-powered IoT health station on ESP32 measuring heart rate, SpO₂ & body temperature via MAX30102 and DS18B20. Custom BPM peak-detection (EMA) and Maxim's ratio-of-ratios SpO₂ algorithm over 100-sample rolling buffer.
Non-blocking firmware with millis()-based timers, OLED auto-rotate, MQTT/TLS cloud sync to Arduino IoT Cloud, and hand-soldered 6×4 perfboard with regulated 12V→5V→3.3V power chain (LM2596 + AMS1117). Project showcase site deployed via GitHub Pages.
